Description of camp: At camp, we will spend the day diving into three of the best fairy tales: The Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks and the Three Bears & Jack and the Beanstalk. We will read different versions of each fairytale and complete STEM activities and fun challenges to go with each one! Students can expect to learn, create, play games & enjoy outdoor time at Stem and Literacy Camp. Please send a lunch and a snack with your child (peanut free).

 An example of a STEM activity from camp: Students will jump into the Jack and the Beanstalk story by becoming Jack. First, they will need to build a beanstalk out of pipe cleaners to support Jack getting to the giant’s home (3 feet tall) and secondly, they will have to create a way for Jack to safely get his golden goose egg down the beanstalk. Because the egg is SO big, Jack has to drop the egg from the clouds. Students will be challenged to create something that can keep an egg safe while it’s dropped from the top of a a ladder!
